Add a custom 3-gauge setup to your Mazda RX-8 interior with this center console gauge pod, designed to be molded into the factory center dash / console panel.

This pod is made for 3× 52mm gauges and was originally designed around Defi BF-style gauges. The gauge angle is aimed toward the driver for better visibility, and the small built-in hood helps reduce sunlight glare on the gauge faces.

🔧 Fitment & Installation

Important fitment note:
This is not a simple drop-in part.
The factory center dash / console panel must be cut, fitted, bonded, filled, sanded, and painted for proper installation.
Professional or experienced custom installation is strongly recommended.

Installation overview:
Remove the center dash / console panel from the vehicle
Check the space behind the panel before cutting
Use the gauge pod as a guide/template for marking the opening
Cut the opening carefully, usually with a rotary tool such as a Dremel
Trim and adjust the fit gradually until the pod sits correctly
The pod is designed to recess slightly into the dash panel
Bond the pod into the panel using suitable plastic/bodywork materials
Additional reinforcement from the rear side is recommended
Filling, sanding, primer, and paint are required for a finished OEM-style look

Installation notes:
Console modification is required
Cutting, sanding, bonding, filling, and finishing are needed
Original designer’s installation instructions can be found on the RX8Club forum
Final finish depends on the installer’s bodywork and painting quality
Gauges, wiring, sensors, adhesive, fiberglass, filler, primer, paint, and hardware are not included
Install only if you understand how the part should be fitted and finished
