3-Inch Cone Air Filter Adapter for BMW 3 Series F30 with N47 Diesel Engine

Fit an aftermarket cone air filter to the original intake on your N47-powered BMW F30. This adapter connects the vehicle’s stock intake components to a filter with a 3-inch (76.2 mm) inlet, allowing you to replace the factory air filter with the open cone setup shown in the installation photo.

Choosing a filter

The 3-inch measurement refers to the filter’s mounting opening. When choosing a filter, check its inlet diameter as well as the overall length and width of the cone to make sure it clears the surrounding engine-bay components. The blue filter in the photo illustrates the installed position and is purchased separately.

Vehicle fitment

Designed for the BMW 3 Series F30 with the N47 diesel engine. Before ordering, confirm your engine code and compare the intake connection on your car with the product photos. The F30 chassis designation alone is insufficient to establish fitment because the chassis was offered with several engines.

Installation details

The adapter is designed to reuse the stock intake components. When removing the original airbox, check the smaller hose that connects to its resonator. Depending on your intake configuration, this hose may need separate attention during installation.
