Fit compatible 7-inch round headlight units to your Land Rover Discovery 1 300Tdi with this pair of shaped conversion brackets. Each bracket combines a circular lamp opening with an outer profile designed around the vehicle’s original headlight mounting area.

Sold as a left-and-right pair, manufactured in ASA plastic and supplied directly from the printer with a raw printed finish.

Design and function

The brackets adapt the original headlight positions to accept compatible 7-inch round lamps. Their geometry angles the lamp slightly inward to help orient it toward the road ahead.

The mounting design uses rear clips that connect to the original headlight adjustment points, with separate retaining clips securing the lamp around its outer edge.

Designed around 7-inch round headlight units, approximately 178mm in nominal diameter.

Check the lamp’s outer rim, rear housing depth, connector position, and retaining surfaces against the bracket design. Headlight dimensions and rear housings vary between manufacturers.

Material and finish

Both brackets are 3D printed in ASA plastic.

Supplied directly from the printer, without sanding, smoothing, priming, or painting. Visible layer lines, seams, support-contact marks, and surface irregularities should be expected, including around the lamp opening and underside.

The source installation photos show brackets that the designer sanded and spray-painted. The supplied parts have a raw printed surface. Additional finishing can be carried out before installation if a smoother cosmetic appearance is desired.

Assembly and installation

The design uses three lamp-retaining clips and three rear mounting clips per side. The rear clips attach to the original ball-and-socket mounting points.

The designer specifies 18 × M4 × 20mm screws for the complete pair. Test-fit the lamps, brackets, and mounting components before final assembly. Check clearance behind each lamp and make any electrical connections appropriate to the selected headlight units.

After installation, check and adjust the headlight aim. Lamp selection determines beam pattern, electrical requirements, and suitability for your vehicle.
